L.A. Hair: China Vs. Everybody
Time to start picking sides… either Team China or Team Everybody else…. Let’s recap shall we:
Kim meets up with Angela to have a civilized conversation about her styling Eve’s hair behind her back and the constant disrespect. The conversation looks like it’s about to turn into another heated argument, but things calm down when Kim tells Angela that she wants Angela to be successful. And Angela apologizes and tells Kim she wants to be there for her. So Kim re-instates Angela (I don’t think that should’ve happen, but whatever….).
Meanwhile, China is still making waves at the salon. Anthony is still the interim receptionist, but he’s not really doing what he’s supposed to be doing which rubs China the wrong way. Angela returns to the salon to find China at her station. Angela “steals” her station back from China the next time forcing China to work at Dante’s station while he’s away. Later, China and Anthony get into because Anthony feels like China disrespects him treating like a receptionist instead of a hair stylist. The argument takes an ugly turn when Anthony calls China a b****. China quickly corrects him. Anthony tries to apologize, but China doesn’t look like she’s having it. Kim takes everyone out to dinner to announce that Angela is back, and China will be staying at the salon… and unfortunately, Angela, Anthony, and Terry don’t seem to happy about that.
Also in the episode, Kim’s mom and Terry set her up on a blind date, and Kim rushes to make Shari Headley’s hair long again for re-shoots for a movie.
Another great episode, and I am all the way TEAM CHINA! I love that she is shaking things up. I think Angela was rude for trying to move China while she had a customer. Anthony needs to fall back and do the job that is given to him. I don’t know about the whole food situation… but I still like China. She definitely has my vote.

So we’ll see what happens next week… Tune in to L.A. Hair on Thursdays at 9 pm.

Tia & Tamera: My Thoughts
Well as most of you know, Tamera Mowry-Housley retweeted last week after I posted the blog post about the show. And that absolutely made my day…. (made my century! LOL!) I’m already a big fan of these women, and that tweet made me an even bigger one.
And of course, I tuned into last night’s episode. Tia and Tamera go to New York to be guests on ABC’s The Revolution. While in New York, Tia has a meeting with her co-author of her book Oh, Baby, and Tamera goes to meet with a New York distributor for her husband’s family’s wine business and to meet with magazine editors to continue to push her acting career forward. And of course, the girls had a little fun while they were in the Big Apple.
Again, Tia and Tamera are both remarkable women, and I enjoy watching them interact together and grow as entertainers and as human beings.
So as a loyal fan, I will be tuning in next week to see what other things these beautiful women get into. Check out Tia And Tamera on style network Mondays at 8 pm.

Mob Wives Chicago: Hmmmm….
So… I turned the channel to VH1 to watch Mob Wives Chicago… and after a couple of minutes, I started texting… I would watch it in and out, but this show… um… I don’t think I’m feeling these new batch of ladies… like I was able to text several people, go check on my granddaddy, and when I came back to watch a few minutes of it, I still knew what was going on: women fighting over stupid crap that made absolutely no sense.
Last night’s episode picks back up with the big fight at the restaurant between Christina and Pia. Finally, body guards break it up, and the ladies go their separate ways. Nora is disgusted and sides with Pia, and they decide to not be friends with Christina. Christina feels Leah in on what’s going on, and she’s pissed. Christina tries to make amends after finding out both Nora and Pia deleted her from facebook. Nora says that Christina is not her friend but an acquaintance, and Pia wants nothing to do with Christina. Meanwhile, Renee is fighting for custody of her daughter while Nora continues to find out what happened to her father’s body.

Whomp, whomp… This episode made me miss the original Renee, Drita, and Big Ang… These ladies are definitely carbon copies, and I am not picking up what they are putting down…

Speaking of installments, the new installment of Love And Hip Hop premieres tonight at 8 pm on VH1 with the ladies of Hotlanta… something tells me this is gonna be a HOT mess!

L.A. Hair: Goodbye, Angela!
Can I just say how much I love Kim Kimble? She keeps it real… she keeps it classy… I love her! She’s a professional business woman, but at the same time, she is personable and has a good heart. She seems like she genuinely wants to see people succeed. Unfortunately, some people… a.k.a. Angela… don’t see it that way.
Let’s recap: Angela snuck behind Kim’s back and styled rapper/actress Eve, which is Kim’s client. Angela comes to the salon and brags about it, and Kim calls her out saying she’s in breach of contract. So Kim decides to suspend Angela and brings in a new stylist named China. Terry tries to “help” her, but China doesn’t take to kindly to that hitting his hand with her comb. Meanwhile, Kim styles Mary J. Blige for a performance, and actress Shari Headley (from Coming To America) comes in wanting to make a drastic change by cutting her long hair. In the end, it looks great! (She is so beautiful by the way!)
I think Angela should have gotten fired. What she did was sneaky, and it’s obvious she shows no remorse whatsoever. I understand being ambitious and wanting to make it to the top, but what Angela did was sneaky and underhanded. Kim should have gotten rid of her a long time ago. And I understand Terry was trying to help, but it was rude of him to just come in China’s space. How would he feel if China did that to him? He wouldn’t like that at all. It’s a difference between advice and trying to take over.
So China looks like she’s gonna bring the fire, and I cannot wait until next week to see what happens next. Catch L.A. Hair on WeTV next Thursday at 9 pm.

Teen Mom: Awwww!
The four moms from the original season of 16 And Pregnant are back for the final season of Teen Mom. Maci, Catelynn, Amber, and Farrah share their lives as mothers with us one more time. And as I watched the two new episodes that premiered earlier this week, all I kept saying was, Awwww! Their babies are so cute! They’ve grown up so much, especially Bentley. It’s amazing to have seen the babies when they are born and to see where they are now. It’s pretty incredible… it’s like each mother has their own video diary that they’ve decided to share with the world.
Let’s recap: Amber and Gary have a daughter named Leah. They have a troubled relationship. Amber first began verbally abusing Gary which led to physical abuse. Amber was arrested and now is on probation and must go receive treatment. In the beginning of this season, Amber is having anxiety and decides to kill herself. She doesn’t succeed, and she’s goes to California for treatment.

Maci and Ryan are the parents of Bentley. Maci and Ryan were once engaged, but because of Ryan’s immaturity (always wanting to party and go out), she broke up with him. Maci struggles with wanting Ryan to be a serious parent and wanting him to put Bentley first in his life. Meanwhile, Maci begins dating her childhood friend, Kyle. So now he is placed in a situation where he is kind of like Bentley’s parent as well. Maci is trying to finish college while trying to be a mother to Bentley.

Farrah is the mother of Sophia. Sophia’s father, Derek, died in a car accident. So Farrah is still grieving him and sad about the fact that Derek never got to see or know his daughter. Farrah constantly gets in disagreements with her parents, but they are there for her especially when it comes to Sophia. Farrah wants to move to Florida, but her parents want her to leave Sophia with them. Last season, Farrah decided that Sophia would stay with her parents, but at the beginning of this season, Farrah changed her mind saying that it is best for Sophia to be with her.

Catelynn and Tyler have a daughter named Carly. They both decided to give Carly up for adoption. Catelynn’s mom is married to Tyler’s dad. And both parents are having a hard time with Catelynn and Tyler’s decision. However, given their situation, Catelynn and Tyler decided to do what is best for Carly even though they sometimes wonder what would have happened if they would have kept her. This season, they go to New York to celebrate Carly’s 2nd birthday with Brandon and Teresa. After their visit, Catelynn and Tyler cry wishing that Carly was going home with them.

I never attended on watching Teen Mom. It was another one of those shows my sisters told me I needed to watch, and one day, when nothing was on, I was sat down and watched it with them. And then… I was hooked. Now, I like this group of girls because I feel their season actually chronicled the hardships of being a teenage mother.
Now these new installments… they are getting out of control. It’s now getting to the point where it seems like they are promoting teen pregnancy, and some of these girls are getting pregnant on purpose so that they can be on TV and become “celebrities.”
So now that it was announced that this was the final season of Teen Mom, everything else needs to end. No more Teen Mom 2 and no more new seasons of 16 And Pregnant. We get it… we know… we’re aware. Stop it… please.
So it will be interesting to see how this season of Teen Mom pans out… and maybe in a few years (when the babies are like 5 or 6), we can pick up the cameras again and see like an “After Teen Mom” special or something.
Teen Mom airs Tuesdays on MTV at 10 pm.

Tia & Tamera: Beauty and Grace
When I tell you I’ve been a fan of Tia and Tamera Mowry since I was a little kid… I am not exaggerating. You can ask all of my childhood friends… I used to have almost every magazine they were ever in, I watched every episode of Sister, Sister, every movie they appeared in… These women are the definition of beauty and grace.
I love how honest they are, and how real they are. Yes, they love each other, but at the same time, they have the same issues that other siblings have. I definitely love how they allow us to have a little insight into their everyday lives between marriage, parenthood, their careers, and their relationship with each other.
Last night’s season premiere was awesome. Tia is just returning to L.A. after shooting season 5 of The Game in Atlanta. And now she is adjusting to being a full-time mom with her son, Cree. Meanwhile, Tamera is juggling life with her new husband and their two homes in L.A. and Napa Valley, CA. Tia is searching for relationships with new mothers while Tamera wants to move forward with her career. Tamera finds out that Tia was offered a television movie role that originally Tamera’s manager was going to send her out to audition for. So Tamera is hurt by the fact that her sister didn’t tell her. At the end, they talk about it, and they resolve the issue…
I love this show, and I am glad that it is back for a second season. Tia and Tamera sometimes fight hard, but they love even harder. And that is what is so beautiful about the whole situation.
I would love to see more of their family: their brothers and their parents. I know in an interview Tia and Tamera said their mother is really, really, really private so the likelihood of her appearing on the show is probably unlikely, but it would definitely be nice to see the whole entire family.
Catch Tia & Tamera on the style network Monday nights at 8 pm!

Mob Wives Chicago: Possible Carbon Copy?
Last night, I did catch the series premiere of Mob Wives Chicago, and I must say that I feel like these ladies are trying too hard to be like the original… It a whole of over-the-top-ness, and it just honestly feels like a carbon copy of the original Mob Wives. So during my recap, I’m going to show you the parallel correlation from the Chicago to the original.
So we begin with Nora who moves back to Chicago to find out what happened to her father’s body and to receive some closure. (In the original, Karen moved back to New York to work on her book and to reacquaint herself with the lifestyle she used to know.) She is friends with Pia, who is the daughter of a dirty police officer who later became an informant (In the original, Karen is the daughter of an informant). Also in the group is Renee, who is a “princess” who gets anything she wants and does not believe in associating with “rats” or their family members (In the original, Renee had the same attitude towards Karen when she first came back.) Next, you have Christina who is officially divorced, but because her family doesn’t believe in divorce, no one knows about it including their daughter. Plus, she likes to brawl. (In the original, Carla kept the secret that she was divorced from Joe from her kids, and Drita is known as the one who is ready to get down when need to.) And last, but not least, you have Leah, who looks like she will antagonize any situation if you let her. (Direct correlation to Ramona in the original)
And last night’s episode ended with Pia and Christina (who are/were good friends) fighting for some reason… I’m not quite clear on that yet. But it just reminded me of the big rooftop fight between Karen and Drita and the big fight between Karen, Drita, and Romana at Renee’s party. Same stuff, different cast…
Again, it’s just like when Basketball Wives: LA premiered… you could draw the comparisons from the LA Wives to the original wives. But as the show continued, the show did get better, and I’m hoping the same for Mob Wives Chicago.
But I do know this… there has been a lot of fist fighting going on with these ladies on VH1… first Basketball Wives (both Miami and L.A.), then Mob Wives, and now its predecessor. I wonder if there will be a petition to end this show as well… I guess we’ll see what happens next…
You can see Mob Wives Chicago Sundays on VH1 at 8 pm.

Side Note: They were showing promos of Big Ang’s new show all throughout the premiere last night… It’s obvious she’s a breakout star, and I will be tuning in to see BIG ANG! Her show premieres July 8th on VH1!

L.A. Hair: Fire Angela!
I really like L.A. Hair… Never in a million years did I think I would watch this reality television show about a celebrity hairstylist and her co-workers, but this is a great, drama filled show.
Recap: Ormarosa (the worse reality show star ever) shows up to the salon, and she gets upset because Charity (the receptionist) didn’t know who she was. Meanwhile, Angela is still overstepping her boundaries by taking Anthony (Kim’s assistant) to help her work on a photo shoot and also secretly styling rapper and actress Eve’s hair.
First off, Omarosa, shut up! You are only famous for being a (excuse my language) b****! That’s nothing to be proud of! I do agree that Charity needs to know what clients are coming into the salon, but Omarosa didn’t have to belittle the poor girl like that. Telling her she needed to be fired and whatnot… I’m sick of these bullies on these reality TV shows (i.e. the Tami Roman syndrome). However, Charity needed to be fired because she was doing a poor job. Kim has a name and a reputation, and you can’t have anyone who works for/with you around that could possibly ruin that.
Which brings me to my next point… fire Angela! She is very insubordinate and very disrespectful. She seems very ungrateful for the opportunity Kim has given her, and it’s sad that her head has gotten so big that she is willing to backstab the person who apparently gave her an opportunity in the business. I love how Terry asked Kim about using Anthony on days he’s not with Kim. That was a very slick way of busting Angela out. I probably would’ve done the same thing.
Next week looks like it’s gonna be explosive, and I’m hoping that Kim will say those two magic words to Miss Angela: You’re Fired…

L.A. Hair: Wasn’t Gonna Watch… But Got Sucked In
So… I wasn’t gonna watch LA Hair… I had absolutely no interest in watching this show… I heard my co-workers talking about it one day, and I was just kinda shrugged it off…
Well during the Mary Mary finale, I saw the commercials… And I said, “Hmmm… this looks interesting.” But I still wasn’t gonna watch. But then, next thing you know, when Mary Mary went off, LA Hair was coming… and I am sucked in to the television screen.
Kim Kimble is the hair stylist to the stars, and she is working with a crazy cast of other hair stylists in her salon. Last night’s episode was crazy. And it was good to see the beautiful Kelly Rowland. She has this natural beauty that is very breath-taking.
My only issue last night was Kim’s stylist who used to be her assistant. She is too cocky and stuck up for me. And it sucks because she’s very pretty, but her attitude makes her very ugly. My thing is if you want to be the boss and do whatever you want to do, then open up your own shop. Kim needs to fire her… ASAP because I see an eruption happening.
Anyway, I’m glad I got sucked in, and I will be tuning in next week to see what happens next.
