Teen Wolf: I Can’t Believe I Was Wrong!
OMG, THE INTENSITY OF LAST NIGHT’S TEEN WOLF! I’m still just in shock about what has taken place! Here’s a recap: (Warning: this is your official SPOILER ALERT!)
So Derek and his pack are set to find out the identity of the Kanima (the venomous creature going on a killing spree). They first find Jackson and test him with the Kanima’s venom believing that a creature can’t be affected by its own substance. But Jackson is paralyzed just like Derek and Stiles were. So now they set their sights on Lydia. So Jackson, Allison, Stiles, and Scott do everything they can to protect Lydia from Derek and his crew. Meanwhile, Jackson wants Danny and Matt to find the footage that was somehow edited over when Jackson was recording himself during the full moon. While Scott is at school trying to figure out if someone else could be the Kanima, Allison, Jackson, and Stiles take Lydia to Scott’s house to hide her. Derek, Erica, Isaac, and Boyd show up to capture and possibly kill Lydia, but Stiles and Allison are ready to fight if need be. In the back room, Jackson and Lydia have a moment of re-connection, and they share a kiss. Suddenly, they hear noise downstairs, and it’s a fight between Erica and Isaac and Stiles and Allison. Lydia is scared, but something seems to be wrong with Jackson while they hear the fight.
Derek and Boyd are waiting outside, and both Erica and Isaac are thrown out of the house by Scott. Suddenly, the Kanima crawls out of the house, and Derek, Boyd, Erica, Isaac, Scott, Allison, and Stiles see the creature. Then, Lydia runs out scared wondering what’s going on. And Scott and everyone realize that Jackson is the Kanima.
In his Kanima form, Jackson walks to a car and holds his hand up to the window. Suddenly, a hand inside the car touches the window as well forming some type of connection. Then, Jackson sees himself in Kanima form and runs away.

Whew! That was a great episode! I was glued to my seat! It was so intense and full of suspense! I loved it! I can’t believe I was wrong. I knew it wasn’t Lydia… And I didn’t think it was Jackson because that would’ve seemed too obvious. I thought it might have been either Danny or Matt (the photographer). But of course, I was wrong… So I’m interested to see how this all plays out. I hope they don’t kill Jackson. I know he’s a jerk and sometimes I want bad things to happen to him. But I hope they don’t kill him. Hopefully, he’ll get the help he needs. But you never know with Teen Wolf… this show is always ready to throw you for a loop… So we’ll see how the rest of the season goes…

True Blood: Again With The Lilith Stuff???
What’s up with the Lilith stuff? Really? And so now we’re taking another message out of the Bible (John the Baptist) and twist it around? Um… yeah, I don’t know how I feel about that.
But anyway, here’s what happened: Sookie and Lafayette are on the hunt for Tara. Tara runs to Sam Merlott for help, and Sam is shocked to see that Tara is now a vampire. Sam hides Tara in the freezer at the bar. Jason runs into his teacher who was his first. They sleep together, but Jason feels bad and leaves the teacher. Jessica runs to Jason wanting to have sex after chasing after what appeared to be a fairy. But Jason turns her down saying he has a big hole in his heart where he tried to fill it with sex and he’s tired. He also confesses that he doesn’t know how to just be friends with a woman. Jessica agrees to just be friends with him and help him.
Meanwhile, Roman (Christopher Meloni) wants to know what happened with Russell Edgington, and Eric and Bill tell him what happened. They vow to find Russell and kill him. Roman orders them to be strapped to electronic stakes that can be activated which would kill them if they choose to disobey in any kind of way. Roman uses Salome to try and find out who the traitor is. So Salome seduces both Eric and Bill and sleeps with them separately. Then, she tells Roman that she doesn’t think either of them betrayed the Authority, and then, she sleeps with Roman.
Tara is now ready to end it all so she breaks into a tanning salon and gets inside a tanning bed. Pam gets a sense from Tara and shakes her head in disappointment.
This episode was pretty good. I’m just not feeling the Biblical references, and then the twisting around of it. I’ma need them to stop doing that. And are we still doing the witch storyline? Like when Lafayette looked in the mirror and that scary Mexican mask appeared, that scared the crap out of me. And it was great to see crazy Lorraine in Pam’s flashback of how Pam was turned into a vampire by Eric.
I’m loving Jessica and Jason. I really want them to get together. Their characters are so perfect for each other, and I love how they are there for each other even when they don’t really want to be. Still a big fan of Alcede… I need him to leave the Debbie thing alone though. Yeah, Sookie should’ve told him the truth, but we all know that Debbie was crazy and needed to die. And Rev. Newlin…. the new Nan Flanagan… that’s funny. He’s a good comedic relief, and I really like him now as a vampire.

Well, we’ll see what happens next week… the first episode was definitely the best one out of all three True Blood episodes. The last two haven’t really kept up with the hype of the season premiere. But I’m hoping it’ll get better…. And please stop with the Lilith stuff! Thanks!

Pretty Little Liars: Guessing Game
It’s definitely a whole new guessing game when it comes to trying to figure out who the new A is on Pretty Little Liars. It seems like everyone’s motives has changed and people are starting to appear more suspicious than they did when this awesome show first started. Here’s a quick recap of what happened last Tuesday:
Aria decides to become Jenna’s accompanist so that she can spy on Jenna now that they know that she has her sight back. Hannah continues to visit Mona against Caleb’s will, and she’s digging for what Mona knows about the new A. Spencer is trying to figure out why her mom is now representing Garrett, and Spencer’s sister, Melissa, returns to town not pregnant. It is revealed that Melissa had a miscarriage. The girls now think that Garrett was the father of her baby and not Ian’s. However, in digging for answers, Spencer finds out that Melissa was not at the hospital when she said she was and their mother was with Melissa this entire time. When Spencer confronts her about it, Mrs. Hastings tells Spencer to ask her sister. Emily is dealing with the fact that Aria’s mom completed the rest of her test. Mrs. Montgomery has to see the principal because there are rumors going around that she is showing favoritism to some of her students, but Ezra steps in and takes up for Mrs. Montgomery.
Later, the girls follow Jenna to an unknown location, and they see Jenna get out of the cab “blind”, but they see her drive around the corner in another car. The girls follow her. When she stops at a location, the girls finally confront her revealing that they know she can see. Jenna says that she is acting blind to protect herself from whoever tried to kill her in the fire. She asks the girls to keep her secret saying they owe her for being apart of what blinded her in the first place. At the end, “A” opens a freezer-type container revealing what could be a body bag.
What can I say? Another great episode! Of course, I’m on the edge of my seat! Who’s the new A? And who was the Black Swan? And what’s going on with Lucas? He went from this happy guy who was in love with Hannah to this dark, kinda scary guy who the girls need to look out for. I dunno, man… I do know that I am ready for this week’s episode.

L.A. Hair: China Vs. Everybody
Time to start picking sides… either Team China or Team Everybody else…. Let’s recap shall we:
Kim meets up with Angela to have a civilized conversation about her styling Eve’s hair behind her back and the constant disrespect. The conversation looks like it’s about to turn into another heated argument, but things calm down when Kim tells Angela that she wants Angela to be successful. And Angela apologizes and tells Kim she wants to be there for her. So Kim re-instates Angela (I don’t think that should’ve happen, but whatever….).
Meanwhile, China is still making waves at the salon. Anthony is still the interim receptionist, but he’s not really doing what he’s supposed to be doing which rubs China the wrong way. Angela returns to the salon to find China at her station. Angela “steals” her station back from China the next time forcing China to work at Dante’s station while he’s away. Later, China and Anthony get into because Anthony feels like China disrespects him treating like a receptionist instead of a hair stylist. The argument takes an ugly turn when Anthony calls China a b****. China quickly corrects him. Anthony tries to apologize, but China doesn’t look like she’s having it. Kim takes everyone out to dinner to announce that Angela is back, and China will be staying at the salon… and unfortunately, Angela, Anthony, and Terry don’t seem to happy about that.
Also in the episode, Kim’s mom and Terry set her up on a blind date, and Kim rushes to make Shari Headley’s hair long again for re-shoots for a movie.
Another great episode, and I am all the way TEAM CHINA! I love that she is shaking things up. I think Angela was rude for trying to move China while she had a customer. Anthony needs to fall back and do the job that is given to him. I don’t know about the whole food situation… but I still like China. She definitely has my vote.

So we’ll see what happens next week… Tune in to L.A. Hair on Thursdays at 9 pm.

Baby Daddy
Now my loyalty for the Mowrys runs deep… Everyone knows how much I love Tia and Tamera, and I’m a fan of their younger brother Tahj. Come on… you all remember Smart Guy? And for my Disney Channel lovers, Tahj also starred in Hounded and Poof Point. But now Mr. Mowry stars in a new ABC Family sitcom Baby Daddy with Jean-Luc Bilodeau (No Ordinary Family) and Chelsea Kane (Jonas, One Tree Hill).

It’s about a young man who gets a surprise at his doorstep: his 3 month old daughter. He must now adjust to the life of being a new father while his brother moves in with him and his roommate (Mowry) and his childhood friend (Kane) comes back home after law school, who he doesn’t know has a crush on him.
Um… yeah… sorry, this show didn’t excite me… It definitely didn’t pique my interest. I guffawed and chuckled a couple of times, and there was a sweet moment when Ben (Bilodeau) bonded with the baby… But other than that, this show to me was a complete dud.

Apparently, this show takes the place of last season’s comedy State Of Georgia starring Raven-Symone (the love of my life… lol!) and Loretta Devine. I think they should’ve renewed that show for another season. It definitely had the potential to be something great especially if they would have added a few more characters to make the cast a little bit more well-rounded.

But oh well… maybe Baby Daddy will surprise me and be a hit like Melissa And Joey… anyway, I won’t be tuning in… My DVR is probably thanking me right now…
But if you want to check it out, you can watch this new comedy on ABC Family Wednesdays at 8:30 p.m.

DALLAS IS BACK!
The American classic prime time soap opera is back uniting new faces with familiar ones… The Ewing family reunites once again for a battle over money and power. The new Dallas is a revamped continuation of the 1978 classic which ran from 1978 to 1991. This new series focuses primarily around the rivalry of John Ross Ewing (played by Josh Henderson) and his cousin Christopher Ewing (played Jesse Metcalfe) much like the rivalry between original characters J.R. Ewing (played by Larry Hagman) and Bobby Ewing (played by Patrick Duffy).
The premiere begins with John Ross and his girlfriend Elena striking oil on Southfork even though Bobby strictly has forbidden drilling after the promise he made to his mother. When Bobby finds out, he kicks John Ross off the property. Bobby has a tumor in his stomach, and he is keeping it a secret from his family. In the meantime, Christopher is developing an alternative energy with methane and is working on getting investors. Christopher returns home with his fiancé Rebecca to get ready for their wedding. It is revealed that Elena was once engaged to Christopher but according to Elena, he wrote her an email saying he couldn’t marry her and moved away. Bobby is now married to his third wife Ann who is a long time friend of Sue Ellen, J.R.’s ex-wife and mother of John Ross.
Meanwhile, J.R. now lives in a clinical home because he is deeply depressed, and Bobby has been visiting him. Bobby decides that he want sell Southfork to a conservatory business “owned” by the family of Marta Del Sol. John Ross is opposed until he talks to his father who snaps out of his depression. It is revealed that J.R. is working with Marta to buy back Southfork from his brother. But it is then revealed that John Ross is working with Marta to take the land from John Ross (there’s a lot of double crossing). Christopher doesn’t want Bobby to sell the land. He wants to prove to his father that he can protect Southfork and keep the promise his father made to his grandmother.
Christopher gets the news that the methane drilling is causing earthquakes in Japan, and John Ross catches wind of the news and tries to blackmail him to do what John Ross says. But Christopher comes clean to his father. Christopher also finds out from Elena about the e-mail, but he tells her that he didn’t send it. He was waiting at the altar for her, but she ran off to Mexico. So they both think that John Ross sent the e-mail. But Christopher goes along with the wedding and marries Rebecca even though it is obvious he still has feelings for Elena.
J.R. wants to get back into the oil business, and he wants to meet with Marta’s father in person, but she keeps pushing it off for good reason. However, J.R. flies to Mexico secretly to talk to Mr. Del Sol, but J.R. finds out that the Marta in Texas is not the real Marta. So he confronts John Ross about trying to double cross him, and John Ross confesses They then both decide to team up to get back Southfork from Bobby. The fake Marta actually works with a few Venezuelans, and they want J.R. to make sure that this deal goes through or things won’t be pretty.
Meanwhile, Ann finds out about Bobby’s cancer and talks to him about it. Bobby has surgery to remove the tumor. However, there is a chance that it could come back. He finally tells Christopher, and Christopher begs Bobby not to go through with the sell of Southfork. Christopher is determined to make the alternative energy thing work, and he decides to work with Elena with the support of Rebecca. We find out that Rebecca may not be who she says she is after Ann hires Rebecca’s brother to work on the ranch. Ann is having second thoughts with the marriage, and her brother reminds her that they’ve worked too hard to give up on the plan.
So John Ross now wants his uncle to sell the land, but Bobby won’t do it. J.R. gets a patient to pretend to be a doctor. Bobby gets a phone call from the patient saying that it’s best for J.R.’s depression if he moves back on the property. Bobby hesitantly lets J.R. move back into Southfork. J.R. finds their mother’s diary and gives it to John Ross to use against Bobby. John Ross tells Bobby that if he doesn’t sell, he will file for a day in court and use it to tell every secret and thought of Miss Ellie (J.R. & Bobby’s mother). So at both the disappointment of Ann and Christopher, Bobby signs the papers to sell Southfork. And at the end, John Ross finds out that Rebecca was the one who sent the e-mail to Elena.
A lot, huh? All that was 3 episodes worth…. And there is so much more than that. Those were just some of the highlights. I sat and watched all 3 episodes back-to-back on my DVR… And it left me wanting more! I am so anxious to find out what happens next. There’s so many twists and turns. It’s amazing.
I remember watching the famous “Who Shot J.R.?” episode of the old Dallas in my television analysis class in college, and I was intrigued by the storylines and the characters. It’s definitely a classic show, and the new version does not disappoint. I love how they are mixing the old characters and storylines with the new ones. It definitely breathes fresh air into the Dallas brand. So now I need to watch all the old episodes of Dallas.

It seems like this is a pattern in today’s television. 90210 is a revamp of Beverly Hills 90210. Watching the newer version made me want to watch all the episodes of the older version, and I succeeded. And 90210 used to be interesting to me, but the storylines started getting out of control and somewhat boring so I stopped watching it in the middle of last season. Melrose Place did the same thing, but unfortunately, it got cancelled after the first season. I can see shows like 7th Heaven, One Tree Hill, and definitely A Different World doing the same thing. There’s always room for new, fresh storylines with great shows like these.
So I am definitely ready for next week’s episode of Dallas. Check it out Wednesdays at 9 pm on TNT.

Single Ladies: The Ever So Lovely Lauren London
It was definitely a pleasant surprise to see the ever so lovely Lauren London as a special guest star of this week’s episode of Single Ladies. It was refreshing because she is a beautiful woman, and it was great to see her. But it was also good to see that they are actually continuing her storyline as Shelly. Let’s bring you up to speed: Shelly first appeared on the first episode of Single Ladies last season as Quinn’s new fiancé. Quinn was Val’s (played by Stacy Dash) ex-boyfriend. Shelly is also the daughter of Jerry, who Val dated later on in the series, but they apparently broke up at the start of this season. Now, Shelly is back in the picture dating a potential politician (played by Flex Alexander). And “coincidentally,” Shelly and Racquel (played by Denise Vasi) know each other. At the end of the episode, Keisha (played by LisaRaye McCoy) reveals to Racquel that she read in what would have been an explosive expose by her ex-nemesis Jasmine’s (played by Kim Porter) that Shelly did a sex tape. Racquel tells Shelly that she knows, and Shelly runs out in horror. Meanwhile, Malcolm (played by D.B. Woodside) has a new girlfriend, and Keisha is hurt by that. Then, she finds out the new girlfriend now lives with him. April (played by Charity Shea) begins dating a stripper and when she goes to the ball with Racquel and Keisha, she is snubbed by the society folk because of her public affair with the Mayor (played by rapper Common).
I like how they are re-hashing storylines from season one that was not really cleared up. From a writer’s perspective, it’s always great to beef those storylines up and bring some type of closure if there was anything that left viewers confused or disillusioned. And once again, it’s always nice to see Lauren London.

I think the writing for this show is good, but sometimes the words are lost because of some of the acting. I think the words on the scripts would be a lot powerful if there were different actors portraying some of these roles. I don’t know… it’s like the pacing is really slow for some reason. I don’t know… I am invested in the storyline, and I do want to see what happens next with this group of friends.
Tune in to Single Ladies Monday at 9 pm on VH1.
